“Row #[x] ID does not exist for form” error
GravityImport can’t find an entry with the ID as it is written in the CSV #
Why this happens: When “Entry ID” is mapped, then the plugin looks to update an entry instead of creating one.
When you see this error, it means that the “Entry ID” column has been mapped during the “Map CSV columns” step, but there are no existing Gravity Forms entries that have the same ID as the one in the CSV row being referenced.
How to resolve the error: #
- Click “Change Field Mapping” to return to to the field mapping screen
Find the column where the “Import To…” value is set to “Entry ID” (see screenshot)
Click the Ⓧ icon next to the Entry ID column label to remove the field mapping
- Click the Continue With Import button to import again
Now that the import no longer is mapped to an existing entry, the import should succeed.
If the entries should exist #
If you expected the entry to exist:
- Visit the Forms WordPress sidebar menu
- Click on Forms
- Hover over the form you want to import into
- Click on Entries link
- Identify whether that entry exists with the ID you expected
🗑 If entries are in the trash, they will not be found. Make sure entries are not trashed.
