Our flagship plugin, GravityView, got a big update this week with support for the new Gravity Forms Repeater field. The Repeater field lets you group a set of fields together and allows users to add that whole set multiple times in a single submission—for example, entering several phone numbers or several people’s info in the same form.
Equally exciting: Our popular free add-on, Dynamic Lookup sees support for merge tag modifiers, enabling you to display any attribute from a linked item! You can read about all the new releases below.
GravityView
GravityView 2.51 adds support for Gravity Forms Repeater fields, including nested data display in Table and List Views, Search Bar integration, and configurable display limits. While the Repeater field is still in beta and does not yet have a user interface in the form editor, it is expected to be released very soon.
Several issues were also resolved, including field visibility settings not being respected in the Layout Builder template, embedded Views failing to render correctly inside Single Entry layouts on pages with multiple Views, and Image Choices fields showing the same image for all choices.
GravityView – DataTables Layout
GravityView – DataTables Layout 3.7.2 fixes an issue where search_field and search_operator shortcode attributes were ignored when embedding a DataTables View via shortcode. These attributes are now applied as expected.
GravityView – Magic Links
GravityView – Magic Links 1.2.1 fixes an issue where the magic link request form did not work when a View was embedded on a page or post. Embedded Views now handle magic link requests correctly.
Gravity Forms Dynamic Lookup
Gravity Forms Dynamic Lookup 1.4.0 expands what you can do with Lookup fields by adding merge tag modifier support. This enables you to display additional attributes from linked items, such as user emails, post permalinks, or entry fields, anywhere Gravity Forms merge tags are supported, including notifications and confirmations. In GravityView Views, Lookup fields now display readable values instead of raw IDs.
Developer updates
Several new filters were added to give developers more control over how lookup values are resolved and displayed, including substituting custom source objects, transforming display values, changing separators for multiple values, handling deleted references, and allowing access to protected meta keys or private taxonomies.
GravityEdit
GravityEdit 2.8.0 improves the inline editing experience for Views using the DataTables layout. After an inline edit, the table now refreshes immediately, so changes are visible without a manual reload.
GravityMath
GravityMath 2.10 improves usability and fixes longstanding shortcode issues. Forms and Views are now sorted alphabetically in the GravityMath Summary block source selector, making large sites easier to navigate. The [gravitymath] shortcode now correctly respects scope, id, and filter attributes when used inside GravityView Views.
In summary
GravityView now fully supports Gravity Forms Repeater fields, including nested data display and search integration, while embedded Views and field visibility issues have been resolved. DataTables Views refresh correctly after inline edits, shortcode behavior is more consistent across products, and GravityMath is easier to use with clearer source selection and reliable filtering. Dynamic Lookup fields add flexible merge tag access and more readable output, rounding out a set of updates that improve both functionality and day-to-day usability.
