The GravityKit team unites at WordCamp US 2023: Highlights from Maryland

Our team recently arrived back at their respective homes after a productive week in Maryland. Hats off to the WordPress community and generous sponsors who made WordCamp US 2023 such a memorable event! 

WordCamp US is the largest annual WordPress gathering in the Western hemisphere. WCUS saw WordPress enthusiasts, developers, designers, content creators, and business owners gather together at National Harbor in Maryland for three days of talks, workshops, and networking opportunities.

During this time, not only was our team able to meet up for in-person sessions (a rare opportunity for us being a fully remote company!), but we also met with other prominent figures in the Gravity Forms space!

Recapping the event

WordCamp US is one of the largest conferences in the global WordPress industry. It is an annual event organized by the WordPress community and supported by generous sponsors. This year, the event was hosted at the Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center in National Harbor, Maryland.

The venue featured a beautiful, glass atrium with amazing views out over the Potomac river. Minutes from Washington D.C. made it a perfect location from which to explore historical sites, museums, and other attractions!

Before WordCamp, our team gathered for several in-person strategy sessions where we finalized our product roadmap, prioritized upcoming projects, and set important goals for the near future. It was tremendously valuable for us to meet in-person as a team, and we’re excited about what we have planned for the upcoming months!

During the actual WordCamp event, we saw plenty of familiar faces and were able to meet up with existing customers. 

We owe a big thank you to everyone who came to chat with us at the Gravity Forms booth. We take customer feedback very seriously and the conversations we had during WordCamp have directly informed our roadmap and upcoming priorities.

Gravity Forms Certified Developer meet up

One of the highlights of the week was getting together with the Gravity Forms team, as well as fellow Certified Developers, CosmicGiant and Gravity Wiz. 

The meetup gave many of us the chance to meet in person for the very first time! The friendly banter and fruitful discussions over brunch served as a great reminder of the strength and cohesiveness of the Gravity Forms community.

WCUS 2023: A resounding success

The week in Maryland proved productive for our team, and the opportunity to meet up in person was invaluable! While we’re big believers in remote work, there’s something magical that happens when we’re all in the same room together.

WordCamp US was a resounding success, featuring value-packed talks and workshops, friendly networking opportunities, and plenty of awesome swag. The event truly highlighted the passion of the WordPress community, and we are thankful to have been a part of it.
