Adding the Entry Tags field #
The Entry Tags field adds tags to form entries. It is a different field from Tags under Post Fields, which adds tags to WordPress posts.

In the form editor, drag Entry Tags from Advanced Fields onto your form, then click the field to open its settings.

Click Edit Choices to add tags, each with its own color. Click + to add a tag and – to remove one.

To change a tag’s color, click the colored square to the left of its label to open the color picker.

On the form, people pick one or more tags from the list, as in a Multi Select field.

Note: On the Gravity Forms Entries page in the WordPress admin, tags are links. Clicking a tag lists the entries that have that whole tag, so Bug doesn’t also list entries tagged Bugfix.
Tags in a GravityView View #
In a GravityView View, each tag is a link. Clicking it lists the View’s entries that have that whole tag, also for a tag with & in its name, such as R&D. A Search Bar field for the Entry Tags field filters the same way. When the field’s Link to single entry setting is on, the tags share one link to the entry instead.
With GravityEdit 2.13.0 and Entry Tags 1.5.0 or newer, the tags can also be edited inline in the View.

Imported tags, conditional logic and exports #
An Entry Tags value saved as comma-separated text, such as Bug,Urgent from an import, shows as separate tags in the entries list and in Views. When a conditional logic rule on the field shows another field, such as when the Entry Tags field is Bug, that field’s value is saved with the entry. The Gravity Forms entries export lists tag names.
