It’s time for a new weekly roundup, though this one covers the last four weeks. Whoops! We’ve been more than a little busy getting our new website ready for launch, but we’re back with an overview of all that’s new since our previous Launch Log. Let’s dive in.
GravityBoard
This release improves attachment handling and overall consistency across Entry Details pages. The GravityBoard Attachments meta box now appears reliably whenever a form has GravityBoard feeds. Issues with embedded boards scrolling on load, attachment deletion, and missing translations have been resolved.
Developer updates
A new $board_settings[settings][auto_focus] boolean setting allows developers to toggle card auto-focus through the gk/gravityboard/board-settings filter.
Gravity Forms Dynamic Lookup
Lookup fields using the Multiple Choice input type can now enforce selection limits, including single choice, unlimited choices, exact counts, or min–max ranges.
GravityMath
The latest update resolves a fatal shortcode error that occurred when a [gravitymath] shortcode referenced a missing View ID.
It also corrects several issues affecting currency parsing and calculations: Number fields using the Currency format now behave consistently with Product fields, comma-decimal currencies are parsed correctly when using the GravityView DataTables client-side rendering mode, and calculations now honor the currency stored with each entry, ensuring accuracy when site-wide currency settings change.
GravityView
Three updates were released in quick succession to address fixes, performance, and compatibility concerns.
Version 2.48.2 resolves issues when using Chained Selects fields in the Search Bar. It also fixes issues with date-based searching, conditional logic on Edit Entry, email confirmation fields, “link to Single Entry” behavior for Gravity Flow Workflow Step fields, and Entry Notes not being added when the approval status changed.
Version 2.48.3 was a minor update that resolved a performance regression introduced in 2.48.2, restoring normal View load times.
Version 2.48.4 fixes a permissions issue that caused “You don’t have permission to edit this post” errors when editing entries tied to posts created with the Gravity Forms Advanced Post Creation Add-On.
Developer updates
Recent releases include several new filters:
gk/gravityview/view_collection/from_post/viewsfor adding or modifying Views in a View Collection before it is returned.gk/gravityview/edit-entry/init/datafor modifying form, entry, and View data before rendering the Edit Entry form.gk/gravityview/delete-entry/show-delete-buttonto control visibility of the Delete button.- Note: The
gravityview/delete-entry/show-delete-buttonfilter will be deprecated in a future release.
GravityView – DataTables Layout
A search issue affecting Multi Select fields has been fixed. Additionally, URL query parameters now correctly include all selected values, ensuring the table remains properly filtered after reloading the page.
GravityView – Maps Layout
Google Maps API key validation is now more robust, with additional checks to ensure the API key is configured correctly. The map state, including radius selection and zoom level, no longer resets when moving between Multiple Entries and Single Entry layouts.
In summary
Recent product updates bring clearer attachment handling and a new auto-focus setting to GravityBoard, while GravityView received a wide range of fixes for search behavior, Edit Entry workflows, approval notes, permissions, and a performance regression, plus new developer filters. We resolved a fatal shortcode issue in GravityMath and improved currency parsing and calculations. Dynamic Lookup adds selection limits, and smaller refinements land in Maps and DataTables.
