As we bid farewell to 2023, it’s the perfect time to reflect on the incredible journey we’ve shared. From attending WordCamp US in Maryland to releasing a brand-new plugin, this year has been filled with milestones for our team at GravityKit.

Join us as we revisit the highlights that defined our year and look ahead to the exciting developments on the horizon!

In August, our global team came together in person to attend WordCamp US in beautiful National Harbor, Maryland.

The event saw WordPress professionals and enthusiasts from North America and abroad come together for three days of learning, networking, and fun. Our team had a great time attending workshops, strategizing for the future, engaging with customers, and connecting with prominent figures in the Gravity Forms community.

Releasing GravityMigrate

GravityMigrate

This year, we added a brand-new plugin to our kit—GravityMigrate! We designed GravityMigrate to be the all-in-one tool for easily importing and exporting Gravity Forms data.

GravityMigrate combines all of your important Gravity Forms data into a single export file, which you can then import to a new website with a single click. By automating the migration process, GravityMigrate saves users valuable time that would otherwise be spent on manual data transfer.

While GravityMigrate is still in beta, the feedback we’ve received so far has been stellar! We can’t wait to announce the new features we’ve been working on and get version 1.0 out the door (watch this space 😉).

Offering the PDF for GravityView Extension

In September, we reached a licensing agreement with the fine folks at Gravity PDF, allowing us to market, sell, and support their excellent PDF for GravityView Extension!

PDF for GravityView enhances GravityView with customizable PDFs that mimic the Single Entry View layout. This turns GravityView into a simple drag and drop PDF builder, making it easy to create applications centered around dynamic, shareable documents, such as resumes, certificates, student report cards, legal contracts, and product fact sheets.

We’re proud to say this agreement marked a first-of-its-kind partnership between leading developers in the Gravity Forms space! We hope this is the first of many collaborative efforts among Certified Developers.

Releasing GravityView Pro

We were super excited to release GravityView Pro, which makes it easier and more affordable to get access to everything GravityView has to offer. With GravityView Pro, you get access to GravityView, our premium Extensions, and all our Layouts at a single affordable price.

Releasing two free plugins

We love building tools that help the Gravity Forms community. This year, we released two free plugins that add new, innovative fields to the form editor.

Feel free to download these plugins from our website and give them a try!

Bolstering the Kit

It’s no surprise that this year saw the release of many, many plugin updates! Let’s take a look at some of the powerful new features that we launched this year:

  • GravityView — Notable releases include GravityView 2.17, which introduced Gutenberg blocks for embedding Views, entries, and fields! GravityView 2.19 added new fields to the View editor for embedding forms and other Views, as well as a custom code editor for adding your own CSS/JS code.
  • DataTables — Version 3.0 brought powerful features such as field filtering and row grouping, making it easier to analyze and organize data.
  • Maps — A monumental update, version 2.0 saw the release of geolocation radius search, allowing users to search for listing locations nearby, or type in an address to see listings in the surrounding area.
  • GravityCharts — We introduced the ability to chart data against time, enabling users to gain valuable insights from their Gravity Forms data with enhanced data visualization capabilities. GravityCharts 1.6 added the ability to aggregate entries on timeline charts by year, quarter, month, week, or day.
  • GravityActions — In version 1.4, we introduced support for bulk emails, empowering users to send personalized, dynamic content to form respondents, en masse!
  • GravityExport — Version 1.3 allows you to save entries and uploaded files to an external storage location (e.g., Dropbox).
  • Gravity Forms Zero Spam — In our 1.4 update, we added support for spam summary email reports! Receive an automated spam report via email, giving you a summary of recent spam entries.

There were plenty more releases in 2023, but we’d need a whole separate post to cover all of them! Shoutout to our lead developer, Vlad, and the rest of our awesome development team for their effort and attention to detail throughout the year.

More helpful tutorials

In 2023, we put a big emphasis on producing helpful tutorials for our existing customers and the Gravity Forms community at large. We published over 55 new “How To” guides on our blog, 5 new customer case studies, 5 press releases, and 1 new full-length video course!

What’s to come in 2024

There’s plenty to look forward to in 2024! Here are just a few of the exciting developments we have coming up…

Enhancing GravityView

2024 is officially the year of GravityView! We have so many game-changing features and improvements on our roadmap that we’re committed to rolling out next year. Picture this: an array of styling options to ignite your creativity, an intuitive layout builder for creating custom designs, and an all-new search bar that promises to revolutionize the way you interact with your content 🚀

Bringing GravityMigrate out of beta

Releasing GravityMigrate was a big milestone for us this year. However, the plugin is still in beta. Next year, we’re going to put the finishing touches on the features we’ve been working on and release version 1.0 to the world! We can’t wait! We’ve got big plans for this add-on.

Expanding GravityKit Academy

We recently rebranded Gravity Guide to GravityKit Academy. This is something we plan to expand in 2024 with more video courses, tutorials, and helpful content, enabling you to do more with our powerful kit of add-ons!

Here’s to a prosperous 2024!

As the year draws to a close, I would like to extend my warmest wishes for the holidays and express my heartfelt gratitude for being part of the GravityKit community.

Thank you for your continued support, and we look forward to sharing even more remarkable developments with you in the coming year. Wishing you joyous holidays and a prosperous New Year!
