GravityView Is Now GravityKit

Hey there 👋

We changed our brand name from GravityView to GravityKit to better reflect what we do, and we couldn’t be more excited about it! 🎊

We haven’t been acquired, and nothing is changing regarding our products and offerings. We made the change for a good reason: our old business name was confusing!

Why We Changed Our Name From GravityView to GravityKit

For a while now we’ve had to contend with the following problem: Our company name was “GravityView” and our most popular plugin is also named “GravityView”. This led customers to think that the GravityView plugin was all we offered.

However, we offer a suite of powerful Gravity Forms add-ons, not just GravityView! By renaming to GravityKit, we hope to make it clear that GravityView is one plugin among our powerful collection. Our toolkit of plugins empowers users to display, import, edit, analyze, and export their Gravity Forms data!

We’ve been hinting at this change for a little while. For example, you may have noticed us using the word “kit” more in our branding recently (i.e., referring to our suite of plugins as a “Gravity Forms toolkit”).

You may also have noticed that our newer plugins are sporting fresh, new icons! This is another thing that we’re super excited about and speaks to what we have in store for the future.

New Product Icons

We’ve updated all of our product icons to give our plugins a fresh, new look! These new icons were designed for us by Parakeet, and we’re super excited to have a consistent look for our add-ons.

More Consistent Product Names

Our product names were all over the place! We’ve now standardized them by changing the names of many of our add-ons:

• Gravity Forms Import Entries is now GravityImport
• Gravity Forms Calendar is now GravityCalendar
• Gravity Forms Entry Revisions is now GravityRevisions
• Math by GravityView is now GravityMath
• Gravity Forms Inline Edit is now GravityEdit

They join GravityView, GravityExport, GravityCharts, and GravityActions. We are, honestly, relieved to have consistent naming after 8 years in business.

More Exciting Things to Come 🚀

Over the course of the next few months, we’ll be rolling out some additional changes to complete our rebranding process. Here’s what we’ve got planned:

• A new website design that reflects our new branding and better showcases our products.
• We’ll also be slowly updating things on our website, docs site, social media, etc to say “GravityKit”.

So, as you can tell, there’s a lot to look forward to!

We believe that this change will help to strengthen our brand message, better communicate what we offer, and eliminate confusion for customers.
