We are thrilled to announce that we are now offering PDF for GravityView, a powerful extension brought to you through a strategic partnership between GravityKit and Gravity PDF.

This new extension allows you to export and share highly customizable PDFs of your Single Entry layouts in GravityView. Use the View editor to add fields to your Single Entry layout, then export or email a PDF matching the front end design. With this powerful extension, you can turn GravityView into a drag and drop PDF builder!

Although PDF for GravityView remains the sole property of Blue Liquid Designs, we have reached a licensing agreement allowing us to support, market, and sell this fantastic new extension through our own distribution channels.

How does it work?

The extension adds two new fields to the GravityView editor allowing users to view, download, or share single entry PDFs. The PDFs are highly customizable with a dedicated settings tab for adding a custom header and footer, selecting fonts, changing the colors, modifying the page dimensions, and much more.

PDF for GravityView also adds advanced field visibility controls, giving you fine control over which fields appear in your PDF documents. With this extension, you can export professional looking PDF certificates, resumes, student reports, contracts, fact sheets, and more!

Now let’s take a look at how this extension works in the View editor…

Enhance your GravityView applications with PDF export

After installing the extension, you’ll see two new fields in the View editor—“Link to Single Entry PDF” and “Share Single Entry PDF”.

The “Link to Single Entry PDF” field is exactly what it sounds like. It provides a dedicated link to a PDF document matching the Single Entry layout for that entry. The “Share Single Entry PDF” field adds an email input field, allowing users to send the PDF as an email attachment.

Both of these fields are configurable with several settings that you can modify. Here’s an example of what they look like on the front end:

PDF for GravityView also has its own settings tab in the GravityView settings box below the View editor. Here, you will find a range of options for customizing different aspects of your PDF files.

Not only can you modify the paper dimensions, fonts, colors, and sizes, you can also add a custom header, footer, and background image (all without code)!

If you’re a developer, you will be happy to know that PDF for GravityView has a very similar templating system to that of Gravity PDF Core. You can add your own CSS directly in the View editor, or override the templates entirely and create a design that’s 100% yours.

Got questions? We’ve got answers!

This is the first time any Gravity Forms Certified Developer has brokered a licensing agreement allowing them to market and sell a plugin developed by another Certified Developer. Because this is a first-of-its-kind partnership in the Gravity Forms space, we’ve attempted to answer some common questions below.

Did GravityKit acquire this plugin from Gravity PDF?

No, we didn’t acquire PDF for GravityView. The extension was developed solely by Gravity PDF and they retain full ownership of it. We have simply reached a licensing agreement allowing us to market, sell, and support it, thereby making it more accessible to our customers.

GravityKit is now authorized to market, sell, distribute, and support PDF for GravityView directly on their website, just like any other first-party software they offer.

Jake Jackson, Founder of Gravity PDF

As GravityView is our flagship product, we felt it was important to offer this extension directly to our customers. As a result, you can now purchase the extension through our website. Once installed, you can manage and update it through the “Manage Your Kit” page in WordPress!

Where do I go if I need support?

We will be providing support to all PDF for GravityView users that bought their license from us. So, if you require support, you can simply email us or hop on a live chat. If you bought your license from Gravity PDF, please contact them for support.

What does the future hold for PDF for GravityView?

As we stated previously, we are not the developers of this extension. It is owned and maintained exclusively by Gravity PDF, so the roadmap is ultimately up to them. Having said that, we will be working with them to provide suggestions and feedback.

To be honest, we wouldn’t want it any other way! They are the PDF experts, and with their in-depth domain knowledge we’re confident that the extension will continue to get better and better.

Although we aren’t involved with development, we are committed to providing excellent support, documentation, onboarding materials, and tutorials for the plugin. If you purchase a license through us, we will make sure you have what you need to succeed!
