The best way to move Gravity Forms between sites is now the best way to migrate between different form plugins.
GravityMigrate 2.0 shipped today, and it is the biggest release the product has ever had. Forms now move between Gravity Forms and seven other form plugins, in both directions. Migrate to or from Contact Form 7, Fluent Forms, Formidable Forms, Forminator, Ninja Forms, WPForms and WS Form. You add GravityMigrate to the site running the old plugin, pick the forms you want, and run it.

All your fields, field settings, required flags, placeholders, default values, conditional logic, and notifications and confirmations get migrated…even merge tags get moved over properly. If a plugin doesn't have a feature (looking at you, Contact Form 7), GravityMigrate tells you before you click Import.

Migrations run in the background now, so you can now leave a tab while importing a file that has tens of thousands of entries and years of uploaded files.
How Killer Shorts rebuilt its screenplay contest with GravityView 🔪
Alison Parker runs Killer Shorts, an international horror screenplay competition. When Coverfly, the platform that ran her entire back end, shut down, she rebuilt submissions, feedback orders and reader scorecards on her own site with Gravity Forms and GravityView, without writing code. Then she went further and launched The Scream List, a live-updated directory of top-rated horror shorts where industry professionals read a logline and request the script in one click. She credits it with real outcomes for the writers she serves: script options, podcast adaptations and managerial representation. We think it slays.

Casey ran every one of these against a live site before writing them up. The one to try first is the scan that walks every View on a site looking for fields that no longer exist: it found two on gravitykit.com and five on our demo site, one of them still carrying eight dead field references from a form rebuilt months earlier. If you have inherited a site with no documentation, that is ten seconds well spent.
