A View's layout, called the View type, decides how its entries look. You choose it when you [create the View](https://www.gravitykit.com/docs/gravityview/getting-started-gravityview/getting-started-choosing-a-form-and-a-view-layout/), and you can [change it later](https://www.gravitykit.com/docs/gravityview/customizing-your-views/how-to-change-the-view-layout/).

Every GravityView plan includes the Table, List, and Layout Builder layouts. The other layouts below need GravityView Pro or All Access, as the [pricing page](https://www.gravitykit.com/pricing/) shows.

**Note**: A layout whose plugin isn't active shows as a gray card on the **Choose a View Type** screen. If your license includes it, go to **GravityKit**, then **Manage Your Kit**, and install or activate it.

## How each layout shows entries

### Table

Table shows entries as rows, with a column for each field. It suits dense or mostly numeric data, such as an issue tracker.

### List
List shows each entry in its own block, one under another. It suits directories and profiles.

### Layout Builder

### DataTables

[DataTables](https://www.gravitykit.com/products/datatables/) shows entries in a table that visitors can sort and page through without reloading the page. It adds Copy, CSV, and Print buttons by default, and you can turn on Excel and PDF.

### Maps[Maps](https://www.gravitykit.com/products/maps/) shows each entry as a marker on a Google map, next to a list of the entries. It suits business directories, store locators, and service directories.

### DIY[DIY](https://www.gravitykit.com/products/diy-layout/) lets you lay out each entry with your own HTML and CSS. It is built for developers and designers who want full control of the markup.
