A form preset is a ready-made form for a common use, such as a staff directory or a job board. If you don't have a form in Gravity Forms yet, you can start a View from a preset, and GravityView creates the form for you.

We recommend building your own form in Gravity Forms first, then creating the View from it. A preset is a quick start when you want to try GravityView or build a demo.

## Using a form preset

- Go to **GravityKit**, then **New View**, and enter a name for the View.
- In the **Data Source** box, click **Use a Form Preset**.
- Hover over a preset and click **Select**.
- Click **Publish**.

A notice at the top of the View editor shows the shortcode that embeds the new form on a page. You can edit the form in Gravity Forms like any other form.
