**Note**: We recommend connecting the site to your GravityKit account, which activates your licenses without copying keys. In WordPress, go to **GravityKit**, then **Manage Your Kit**, and click **Connect GravityKit Account**, or **Connect Account** if the site already has a license. See [Connect your GravityKit account](https://www.gravitykit.com/docs/general-help/licensing/managing-your-licenses/#connect-your-gravitykit-account). The steps below activate a license with its key instead.

After [installing GravityView](https://www.gravitykit.com/docs/gravityview/getting-started-gravityview/installing-gravityview/) or another GravityKit product, activate your license so the site can receive updates.

## Step 2: Activate the key in WordPress

- In WordPress, go to **GravityKit**, then **Manage Your Kit**.
- Click **Enter a license key manually**. If the site already has a GravityKit license and isn't connected to your account, the key field is open below the license table.
- Paste the key and click **Activate License**.

If activation fails, a message explains why, for example that the license has reached its activation limit. If the message doesn't help, [contact support](https://www.gravitykit.com/support/)
**Note**: On a WordPress Multisite network, a license can be activated for the whole network or for a single site. Only a network administrator can change a network-wide license. See [Multisite and GravityKit licenses](https://www.gravitykit.com/docs/general-help/licensing/multisite-and-gravitykit-licenses/).
