Embed a View to show your entries on any page or post of your site. The **GravityView View** block adds it in a few clicks, and you can see the result in the editor before you publish.

Before you begin, [set up your View](https://www.gravitykit.com/docs/gravityview/getting-started/how-to-setup-your-first-view/) and publish it. A View saved as a draft isn't available to embed.

## Step 1: Add the GravityView View block

- Open the page or post in the block editor, or create a new one.
- Click the **Block Inserter** (the **+** button at the top left of the editor).
- Type `GravityView` in the search box.
- Click **GravityView View**.

## Step 2: Choose your View
Click the **View** dropdown in the block and choose your View. Each View is listed with its ID after its name, such as **Club members (#4)**.

## Step 3: Preview the View
Turn on **Preview** in the block's **Main Settings**, in the panel on the right, to see your entries in the editor. The **Edit View** link above it opens the View in the View editor.

*The preview doesn't show entries for a View with the DataTables layout, and a Map layout shows a notice in place of the map. Both display normally on the published page*

## Step 4: Publish the page

Click **Publish**, then open the page. Your View appears where you placed the block.

When a visitor clicks a link to an entry, the entry opens on the same page, and the **Go back** link returns them to the list

## If your View shows no entries

A new View has **Show only approved entries** turned on, so an entry appears only after it's approved. [Approve your entries](https://www.gravitykit.com/docs/gravityview/entry-approval/approving-or-rejecting-entries-in-gravityview/) or turn the setting off in the View's settings.

## Embedding a View with a page builder

GravityView adds its own widgets to Elementor, Divi, and Beaver Builder. Choose your View in the builder's panel, with the same settings as the block. [Embedding Views in Divi, Beaver Builder, and Elementor](https://www.gravitykit.com/docs/gravityview/view-setup/page-builder-support/) has the steps for each one.

In WPBakery Page Builder, formerly named Visual Composer, add a Text Block with the View's shortcode, as [Adding a View to a page using Visual Composer](https://www.gravitykit.com/docs/gravityview/view-setup/adding-a-view-to-a-page-using-visual-composer/) shows.

For another builder, paste the shortcode into its text or shortcode element. You can copy the shortcode from **Embed Shortcode** in the **Publish** box of the View editor. [Using the shortcode](https://www.gravitykit.com/docs/gravityview/shortcodes/using-the-shortcode/) lists its settings.
