Magic Links can let people delete their own entry without logging in. Deletion is a setting on each View that uses Magic Links.

## Allow deletion on a View

- Edit the View and open the **Magic Links** tab in the View settings.
- Make sure **Enable Magic Links** is checked.
- Check **Allow Entry Deletion**.
- Click **Update** to save the View.

## How people delete their entry

If the View shows a Delete link, a logged-out visitor who clicks it is asked for their email address. When that address is allowed for the entry, they receive an email with a link that deletes it.

You can also send the delete link yourself: add `{gv_magic_link view_id=123 action="delete"}` to a notification or confirmation, with your View's ID in place of `123`. [The {gv\_magic\_link} merge tag](https://www.gravitykit.com/docs/gravityview-pro/magic-links/the-gvmagiclinks-merge-tag/) doc lists its other options.

**Warning**: opening a delete link deletes the entry right away, with no confirmation step. Anything that opens the link deletes the entry, including a link checker in the recipient's email system.
