# Installing a build sent by GravityKit support

Sometimes our support team has a fix ready before it reaches a regular release. Instead of emailing you a ZIP file, we attach the build to your GravityKit account. Your site picks it up in **GravityKit > Manage Your Kit**, where it installs with one click.

## Before you start

Update your GravityKit plugins first. The Support tab described below came with the September 2026 releases (GravityView 3.3.4 and later), so an older version does not show it. The update steps are in [Installing, Activating, and Updating GravityKit Plugins](https://www.gravitykit.com/docs/general-help/downloads/installing-activating-and-updating-gravitykit-plugins/).

## Installing the build

**1.** In your WordPress dashboard, go to **GravityKit > Manage Your Kit** and click **Refresh**, next to the page title. Your site checks in with GravityKit every 12 hours on its own; Refresh makes it check now.

**2.** A **Support** tab appears in the filter bar above the plugin list. Open it. The plugin the build belongs to is listed there with the build’s version number and a SUPPORT label under its icon.

**3.** Click **Install this build**. The plugin updates in place, the same way a regular update does.

When it is done, the card keeps the SUPPORT label and shows a **Use Stable Version** button. That is all: the fix is live on your site.

## What happens next

The build stays until the next regular release of that plugin. When that release is out, the build is no longer offered: the label on the card changes to CUSTOM, the new version shows as available, and clicking **Update** puts you on the regular version, fix included. The same happens if we remove the build from your account.

Want the regular version back sooner? Click **Use Stable Version** on the plugin’s card.

A build you have not installed yet stays available for seven days after we attach it. If it has lapsed by the time you get to it, reply to your support ticket and we will attach it again.

**Note**: the Support tab only appears on a site that is licensed for that plugin with the same license the build was attached to. If you do not see it, click Refresh first, then check under Licenses at the top of the page that the plugin’s license is active on this site.
